Remember – dreams never die

(I don’t know who FIRST said that) but it is so true!

Picture it … Fort Smith, Arkansas – 1954. A lively seven year old wants to perform - to sing and dance to everyone’s delight! So, when “Our Hit Parade” comes on the small black and white TV every Saturday evening, there she is, decked out in the sweet little formal dresses her mother made for her piano recitals, and perform she does - with Gisele MacKenzie,  Dorothy Collins, Russell Arms, and Snooky Lanson, and all the Hit Parade singers and dancers. This was the beginning what was to become a lifelong dream for little Jaclyn Jean Scott (later, Jackie Prucha).

Now fast forward forty-one  years, a teaching career that took her to Hawaii and Germany, sixteen moves, a husband (Dan – that is where the Prucha comes in!), and two delightful sons later (John and Andy) - to Atlanta, Georgia, 1995. While looking for a house, she spies a small community theatre and decides to audition. She gets a role and during that work forms an important relationship with Adriana Warner, an accomplished professional director and teacher, who also becomes Jackie’s mentor. Success follows, as Jackie not only finds work in a wide variety of Atlanta theatres, but begins film, voiceover, and commercial work as well.
